Why Roleplay prices apart
Today it runs 27% above Normal — same day, same sellers, same item. Fewest players means fewest farmers means the thinnest supply, and thin markets price high. Expect the gap to narrow after launch without closing. That ranking is measured, not asserted: the board is read every morning and these sentences move with it.
What the coin is spent on
Much of it is not gear. Roleplay characters buy tabards, bags, oddities from vendors nobody farming a raid would look at twice, and the furnishings of a guild's idea of a home. Steadier than PvP spending and less spiky than Normal.
Delivery on Roleplay
Same two routes as everywhere else, and the friendliest population to arrange the second one with. Names on this style are two-part and unique across the region, so there is never any question about who you are mailing.
Questions about Roleplay gold
Is the Roleplay premium worth paying?
If you play there you have no alternative: the economies are separate and gold cannot cross between playstyles. If you are simply shopping for the smallest number, Normal is $0.82 — but that coin sits in a world you do not play in.
Will the RP price come down after launch?
Probably, and it will be shown rather than promised. The reader takes every listing daily and the board is re-priced on November 18, once there are two weeks of genuine launch trading to read.
Do roleplay rules change anything about gold?
The ruleset differs in naming and behaviour policy, not in economics. Mail, trade and the auction house work exactly as they do on Normal.
