How the number is obtained
A script pulls the marketplace once per build, parses the product markup rather than a screenshot, and converts every price to dollars using the rate returned in the same request. Nothing is typed in by hand, which is the only way a price page stays honest for longer than a week.
What the spread is telling you
A gap of several times between the cheapest and the dearest listing is not a market. It is a handful of people guessing in a world with almost no gold in it. Watch that gap close through November: it is the best single signal of when buying starts to make sense.
Why our price is lower
Our listed seller has not opened Forever orders yet, so $0.79 on PvP is a posted launch price rather than a live one. It sits 7% under today's cheapest listing for that style, and it gets re-set on November 18, when real trading finally gives it something to be measured against.
